LIFE WEEELOOP is an innovative European Union project aimed at transforming the management of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) through the recovery and reuse of kitchen hob components. By applying artificial intelligence (AI), digital traceability, and advanced recovery processes, the project optimizes the identification, classification, and reintegration of materials into the value chain, promoting a model based on the circular economy.
Focusing on ceramic glass, electronic boards, and induction elements, LIFE WEEELOOP develops solutions to enable the reuse of these parts in new products, repair networks, or advanced recycling processes. This approach reduces waste generation and fosters efficient resource use.
Project Objectives
Expected Results
Efficient recovery of key kitchen hob components, increasing reuse and reducing the need for new material production.
Operational Circular AI Platform with AI systems for identifying and classifying components.
Digital Product Passport (DPP) implemented, ensuring the traceability and certification of recovered materials.
Compliance with European regulations, ensuring proper management and reintegration of components into the value chain.
A scalable and replicable model applicable to other products and sectors within the circular economy.
