LIFE WEEELoop recently took part in two key events advancing the circular economy in Spain: the Ecodesign Workshop organised by inèdit and the Catalan Waste Cluster (CREC) in Barcelona

The LIFE WEEELoop project took part in the 2025 Ecodesign Conference organized by the Waste Cluster of Catalonia (CREC), held at the Barcelona Circular (BAC) building. It was an inspiring and participatory session that addressed the challenges and opportunities of ecodesign as applied to business models based on preparation for reuse.

The consortium was represented by two of its member entities: Copreci S.Coop and Circular Replay, through Mikel Telleria and Daniel de la Torre, respectively. Both took an active role in the dialogue spaces, sharing the project’s vision and experience in the redesign of products and components that promote repairability, refurbishment, and second-life use.

One of the key moments of the event was the expert roundtable, in which Mikel Telleria (Copreci) participated alongside Patricia Herrero Martín (ECOLUM), Marike Charlier (aREca), and Nati Yesares Domínguez (Solidança Treball EI S.L.). The discussion approached the complexity of ecodesign in today’s context with honesty and a constructive spirit, highlighting its potential as a driver for more sustainable economic models.

The event was co-organized by inèdit and Adriana Sanz Mirabal, who facilitated a dynamic session where real cases, lessons learned, and proposals were shared from different perspectives within Catalonia’s circular economy ecosystem.

LIFE WEEELoop highly valued this space for learning and exchange, as it helps to strengthen collaboration between industrial, social, and environmental stakeholders committed to circularity. The conference concluded with a shared sense of commitment, new ideas to explore, and the clear need to continue creating these kinds of professional connection environments.
