LIFE WEEELOOP was presented in Brussels during the official kick-off meeting organized by the European Commission for projects recently funded under the LIFE Programme. The event is designed to guide and support selected projects at the start of their implementation, fostering exchange with the European Climate, Environment and Infrastructure Executive Agency (CINEA).

Representing the consortium, Daniel de la Torre, Business Development Director at Circular Replay, presented the project’s approach to the selective recovery of components and materials from kitchen hobs as a key strategy to promote circular economy models and contribute to WEEE prevention.

LIFE WEEELOOP is developed by a multidisciplinary consortium formed by Copreci, Circular Replay, Éxxita Be Circular, ECOLEC Waste Hub, and Emaús Gizarte Fundazioa, with the support of the European Union’s LIFE Programme (LIFE23/ENV/ES/LIFE-WEEELOOP). The project focuses on digital solutions powered by artificial intelligence, advanced traceability, and cross-sector collaboration to create a scalable and sustainable model for the home appliance industry.
