During a session focused on circular economy and remanufacturing, they presented the project&#8217;s progress and its transformative potential in the management of electrical and electronic waste (WEEE).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within CONAMA 2024, LIFE WEEELoop was introduced as an innovative example of circular economy applied to the treatment of <strong>electric cooking plates (induction, radiant, and hybrid models)<\/strong>. Funded by the European Union\u2019s LIFE program, the project aims to develop a replicable model based on <strong>component reuse<\/strong>, <strong>eco-design<\/strong>, and <strong>digital traceability<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Fundaci\u00f3n ECOLEC<\/strong> technical team shared the project\u2019s comprehensive approach, highlighting key milestones such as the establishment of preparation for reuse centers (CPRs), the use of artificial intelligence tools for selecting reusable components, and the development of a digital passport ensuring the traceability of recovered materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presentation generated strong interest among attendees, showing how LIFE WEEELoop improves current recovery rates and facilitates the transition toward a more sustainable production model.
